Most IT service providers sell other vendors' software. We do that too – and we also develop our own. Remaxia, Casenda, SubBaseApp, Gastella, Kuvert and Aliefa were not built as commissions for a single client, but as products that we maintain and develop further ourselves.

If you commission software, you want to know what you will get at the end. These six applications were created here – not as commissions for a single client, but as our own products, which we maintain and develop further ourselves. They show how we work: deep subject knowledge, restrained technology, and the data kept where the client wants it.

Remaxia – property management

Management software for rental properties, developed for private landlords, small property managers and property management companies. The guiding principle is traceability: every figure comes with its origin. Eight areas work together – income, expenses, bank statements, service charges, tenancy agreements, payment reminders, tax documents and client management with access rights.

Casenda – business software for construction and trades businesses

From quotation to DATEV batch in one system. Casenda brings master data, costing, invoicing, stock, receipts, banking and reports together in a single database – no Excel islands alongside the accounts, no double data entry, no switching between paper and systems between site and office. Fourteen work areas in one interface, designed for construction and civil engineering work rather than bent to fit from retail.

  • Item master with 3,000 items across ten trades – unit, price and stock right in the costing
  • One click turns the quotation into an invoice; bank statements are matched with allocation suggestions and split postings
  • DATEV posting batches, advance VAT returns with ELSTER field codes, profit and loss statement under § 275 HGB (German Commercial Code) and fixed-asset schedule
  • Runs on your own server – delivered as a container, used in the browser, with nothing to install on workstations

SubBaseApp – for civil engineering

Site software for sewer, road and cable civil engineering. Items are located by chainage rather than by floor – the typical construction app comes from building construction and has no concept of a route. Permits are tracked with a traffic-light deadline indicator, inspection reports follow the relevant procedure, and site measurement and billing under the VOB (German construction contract rules) sit in the same dataset.

Kuvert – banqueting software

Management software for event venues with several function rooms. Room plan, quotation, function sheet and invoice are all attached to one event: anything entered once appears on every document produced afterwards. If the number of covers changes, every line item is recalculated – including tax, split between 7 and 19 per cent. Kitchen, service and technical staff each get their own extract from the same function sheet. Invoices are locked in line with GoBD (German principles for proper electronic bookkeeping), e-invoices are produced as XRechnung or ZUGFeRD, and your tax adviser gets a DATEV posting batch. Runs in the browser, with nothing to install.

Aliefa – software for animal welfare associations

Animal records, adoptions from first contact to follow-up visit, foster homes, veterinary care, transports, sponsorships, members and donations in one system. Seventeen areas share the same dataset, so a vet's invoice does not have to be entered three times. Runs in the browser.

  • Adoption process with applicant questionnaire, pre- and post-adoption visits – returns included
  • Dedicated data protection area: consent per channel, retention periods, subject access requests and anonymisation
  • Animal profiles for the association's website, with a WordPress interface
  • Rule-based assistance without an external AI service – nothing is transmitted

The difference

Why an IT service provider develops its own software

It is unusual – and it has consequences for you as a client, both good ones and limitations.

  • Software and IT from a single source. When the application gets stuck, nobody has to work out whether the program, the server or the network is to blame. We see all three layers.
  • Your data stays with you. Our applications run on your own server. No third-party cloud, no data processing by third parties, no access by a provider you do not know.
  • Changes are possible. With a standard product from a large vendor, a special request is hopeless. With us, it is a question of effort – you talk to the people who wrote the source code.
  • We are a small vendor. Honesty requires us to say so: we do not have the development team of a large software company. In return, you do not go through a hotline – you reach someone who knows the program directly.
  • The way out stays open. Your data belongs to you and can be exported in full at any time. A client who stays because they cannot leave is not a satisfied client.

What we are often asked

Who is SubBaseApp for?

For companies in sewer, road and cable civil engineering. The common construction documentation tools come from building construction and locate defects on a floor plan – in civil engineering there is no floor plan, but a route, a chainage and a stack of permits with expiry dates.

The application is being developed together with a civil engineering company from the Rhineland. Its workflows come from the construction site, not from a specification document. Some parts are still in progress – what is missing is stated openly in the brochure.

Who is Gastella for?

For catering businesses and party services – from the small business supplying company parties to the operation with its own kitchen and a permanent service team. The thread is always the same: an enquiry comes in, it becomes a costed quotation, then food, staff and equipment are planned, and at the end there is an invoice your tax adviser can process without follow-up questions.

It is particularly worthwhile if quotation, costing and invoice are currently produced in three different programs and staff rotas live on scraps of paper.

Do I need a managed IT services contract to use the software?

No. Our applications can be used regardless of who looks after your IT. If both are with us, however, troubleshooting is considerably quicker when something goes wrong – nobody has to mediate between the software vendor and the IT service provider.

Where do the applications run?

On your own on-premises server or in an environment of your choice. There is no obligation to put data into a third-party cloud – with tenancy agreements, statements and receipts in particular, that is the deciding factor for many businesses.

Can we see the software first?

Yes. We show it to you using your own examples, not a tidied-up demo database. A demo takes around an hour and costs nothing.

What happens if we need something the software cannot do?

Then we talk about it. Some things are a setting, some are an extension, and some we turn down because they would make the product worse for everyone else. What we do not do is pretend that everything is possible.
